-located very close to mass transit -incredibly large locker room (at least for new york city) -great selection of soft pop music from different decades and at a reasonable volume; it's not too loud but you can still just hear it. this means you don't have to raise your own headphone volume to compete against the club's speakers -every machine that i used here worked -temperature control was moderate; it was a little cooler than i had preferred -good amount of natural light through large windows

Based on customer reviews, Blink Fitness 54th offers a convenient location with easy access to mass transit, making it a practical choice for many. The facility boasts an incredibly large locker room, especially when compared to other gyms in New York City, providing ample space for members.

The gym's environment includes a good selection of soft pop music played at a reasonable volume, allowing members to enjoy it without needing to overpower it with their headphones. The presence of large windows provides a good amount of natural light, contributing to a brighter workout space. While the temperature control was noted as slightly cooler than preferred by one reviewer, overall, the gym maintains a moderate temperature.

In terms of equipment, customers report that all the machines they used were in working order, indicating a commitment to functionality. The gym spans the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building, with a significant number of steps to navigate. However, a working elevator is available for those who are unable to use the stairs, ensuring accessibility for all members.

The staff at Blink Fitness 54th are consistently described as very friendly, enhancing the overall member experience. However, some concerns have been raised regarding the cleanliness of the men’s bathroom, particularly around the sinks, with a suggestion for more frequent cleaning. Additionally, while signage encourages members to wipe down machines before and after use and to maintain clean hands, some reviewers have observed that not all members adhere to these guidelines. There are suggestions for potentially improving member compliance through better signage or staff reminders during check-in.

Overall, Blink Fitness 54th is described as a nice and very convenient gym for its members, offering a good range of amenities and a friendly atmosphere. While specific promotional information is not available in the provided text, its accessibility, spacious locker rooms, functional equipment, and pleasant musical environment make it a noteworthy option in the 'Fitness Near Me' category in Midtown East, New York City.

Have been a member here for a couple of years. Overall the gym is nice and very convenient for me. Men’s bathroom needs to be cleaned more often. Especially around the sinks which are messy. Signs encourage everyone to have clean hands and to wipe down machines after use. Unfortunately, I observe that most men and some women do not wipe down. So I have to wipe before I use and after I use. Maybe better signage to encourage or for staff to remind members when they check in. Staff are very friendly. Gym is on 2nd and 3rd floors with a lot of steps. Fortunately they have a working elevator for those unable to climb the steps.

Problems here: 1) Crowded 2) Down to 1/2 supply of some equipment due to disrepair-see photo 3) Sitters seemingly allowed--photos 4) Worn equipment such as ripped arm pads--see photo 5) Blink e-mail notice to members of gym closure less than a week ago with 2 days notice, then rescinded the next day. Assume dealing with landlord with members caught in the middle. Positive is the low cost and convenient if you live nearby.

I came to the gym to use my free membership pass that I never used. Apparently because I had signed up online with my email and registered it for a location in the Bronx , I couldn’t use the same email and use the day pass for this location: even if it’s literally a day pass, that wasn’t used. Marcus and Nay were the ones that handled the situation and the customer service turned me off. I was super excited about working out at blink, I’m currently transitioning from xsport fitness in the Bronx and wanted something close to my job. When I walked in here the way I was handled made me know blink fitness is definitely not the gym for me. Sucks cus I was so excited

Been a member for a few years. I feel like I’ve seen it all here. Vast majority of staff are excellent and nice, I can only remember one over a year ago that was harassing random people because she was bored, but not seen that behavior since. Sometimes if you stay till the end they’ll shut off all the lights for the last 5mins which feels like a safety hazard. Other than that, all other workers have been cheery and very cool, they always say hi and bye to me, that’s a nice touch! I love that I can bring a guest now and again, that’s been great. For the price it’s very good, I don’t use the showers or the bathrooms so can’t speak to that. Right now it is too hot, they have the heating on too high on the lower floor, but that doesn’t bother me after a while, and for most of the year it’s a good temperature. I occasionally wish the sanitary wipes would be replaced more often, but 80% of the time it’s fine. Generally the gym can get a little overcrowded when I go (weekday evenings around 7-9pm) and I wish they would open up later on weekends, especially Sunday, a 7pm close feels way too early to me and ruins my evening-vibe. Clientele ranges massively, with mostly normal people and minority of trashy people, but mostly other customers are fine. I’ve found the equipment to be generally good and well maintained, or they’re quick to fix it if it breaks. Honestly, for the price, I don’t think it can be beaten, so I’m grateful for this gym and the nice people that work there.
