I Loved Eunah's class, her energy was so bright and welcoming. It was my first tower class and I was a bit nervous but I felt at ease from her instruction and enthusiasm. Her movements were also well-paced and creative, there were moves I'd never seen before. I'd love to come again very very soon. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Based on customer reviews, Power Pilates offers Pilates classes, including tower classes. Experiences appear to vary significantly depending on the instructor. One reviewer had a very positive first-time tower class experience with an instructor named Eunah, who was described as bright, welcoming, enthusiastic, and providing clear instruction. Eunah's movements were also noted as well-paced and creative, with new exercises introduced. This reviewer expressed a strong desire to return.

However, another reviewer reported a negative experience with an instructor named Monica. This review described Monica as unencouraging, borderline verbally abusive, and belittling towards new students in a tower class. The instructor reportedly gave instructions once and then yelled repeatedly when participants did not immediately understand. While acknowledging the importance of safety with equipment, the reviewer found Monica's attitude uncalled for, noting eye-rolling and sighing when students were confused. The reviewer also described unsafe and rough "adjustments" that involved yanking and throwing a student's foot. Despite finding the studio nice, clean, and spacious with enough equipment, this reviewer would only consider returning for a tower class with a different instructor or if Monica's teaching approach became more encouraging.

Environment: The studio is described as nice, clean, and spacious with sufficient equipment for classes.

Services and Features: Power Pilates offers Pilates classes, including classes utilizing the Pilates tower equipment.

Instructors: Experiences with instructors seem to be inconsistent. Eunah is praised for her positive energy, clear instruction, and creative movements. Monica is criticized for being unencouraging, verbally abusive towards new students, impatient, and providing unsafe physical adjustments.

Promotional Information: No specific promotional offers are mentioned in the provided reviews. Individuals considering Power Pilates may want to inquire about the instructors teaching specific classes and potentially seek out classes with instructors known for a positive and supportive approach based on available feedback.

In summary, if you are looking for a 'Fitness Near Me' option in Chelsea, New York City, offering Pilates including tower classes, Power Pilates has a clean and spacious studio. However, customer experiences appear to be heavily dependent on the instructor, with reports ranging from highly positive and welcoming to negative and unprofessional. Potential students may want to research instructors before booking a class.

Monica was not encouraging and borderline verbally abusive. She started off the class by asking who was new to tower and with that knowledge went on to belittle students who were new. She says things once and doesn't give participants the opportunity to do it before screaming it repeatedly at the class. I understand the importance of safety especially when using equipment however her attitude was completely uncalled for. She also sighed and rolled her eyes when we didn't understand what she was saying. Knowing that we were first time tower students this doesn't promote an environment where I would want to return. She asked if hands on adjustments were okay (which | appreciate) but yanking and throwing someone's foot when they're not understanding the exercise is not an adjustment, and frankly unsafe. Studio was nice and clean with enough space for equipment. I would definitely come back for tower class with a different instructor or when Monica learns to encourage students in a healthy environment.

Today is my first time to join the Tower Class for 161W 23rd St Classroom. I took a subway and came to the class ASAP but 5 mins late. The instructor Kevin not only disallow my to join without sufficient reasons but yelled at me, the first time customer. He even locked me outside of the classroom which totally escalated my negative emotions. Front desk representative Claudia is more polite even though she cannot make any decision and told me to wait for management email. The issue is still pending. But hopefully class can describe more detailed requirements online if the time rule is much stricter than other pirate classes. Also, please train your instructor temper management for new clients. It is not very easy to arrive there back and forth for one hour with MTA fare in such a cold weather. Warm words can help.

Enjoyed the studio but my instructor, Monica, seemed like she had a bad day and was lashing out at the students. She was very aggressive and when we didn’t understand her pilates jargon she would sigh and scream… hopefully she finds better coping mechanisms and inner peace.

The pros: The instructors are knowledgeable. The cons: The management prioritizes profits over health. Did not let me reschedule for medical reasons despite providing a doctor's note. They rather pocket the money than extend goodwill of at least rescheduling. There is a lack of knowledge and diligence from an administrative perspective. Their email inbox is full and does not receive inquiries. You can call them multiple times and leave a voicemail but they will not respond in a prompt manner.
