This community is so welcoming, kind, beginner friendly, and open. There are so many classes which helps since I have somewhat of a weird work schedule, many different instructors so you can always ensure you find someone that matches your preferred yoga style, and overall just a very kind tight knit community here that is really open to newcomers. I often get intimidated by perceived very small intimate spaces because I get so worried that everyone already knows each other so well, but I was welcomed so kindly into this community. I also appreciate the focuses on form here as a beginner and the hands-on corrections they do (with consent!!!). Really great. Also small perks like providing their own mats and towel are such a game changer. If you’re on the fence, take a class!!!

Feb 20, 2025 · Sarah DinkelackerI've been coming to tangerine for many years, and I absolutely love this studio and space. The instructors are amazing. Everyone who works there is profoundly friendly and kind. And the general vibe overall feels expansive, inclusive, and welcoming. There are yoga studios closer to where I live, but I find tangerine to be worth the walk, subway ride, or bus ride for the overall experience of feeling like my body, my practice, and the bodies and practices of others are all welcome. So grateful for this studio and space!
Jan 08, 2025 · Caroline RothsteinAtmosphere is so calming and wonderful. It seems like the community is quite tight knit, and the students and instructors mingle together. They provided mats and towels, and our instructor Liz was fantastic at leading the Tangerine Flow class. Would love to return for more sessions in the future.
